This version has the following bugs fixed compared to version 1.0.20250128.1:
- PowerShell scripts for installation and uninstallation are removed (not required for generally supported versions of ESM)
- Workflow for sending push notification and the service were reworked to use User Principal Name (e-mail) instead of User Object ID due to the fact that some customers have SID stored instead of User Object ID that prevents push notification sending.
Known issue: Due to PowerShell script removal, extension update from earlier version and following uninstallation will put the system in the inoperable state. To avoid that, manual editing of configuration file is required (either before uninstallation or after it): the mention of Teams Approval DLL must be removed from <installation folder>\svc\host.config file:

In addition to the capabilities of v1.0 the new version M42 Approvals 1.1 now supports
- French, Italian, and German translation
- Approvals of requests including multiple services, sets, bundles, groups, or service-specific forms
- Synchronized setting for approval comments based on ESM configuration
- Push notifications to MS Teams 'Activity Feed' for new approvals
- Notifications are only available in English
Microsoft Teams Approval Extension 1.0
M42 Approvals 1.0 is the initial release of the app featuring the below features
- Personal App for Microsoft Teams
- Status-based application tabs for 'Pending', 'Approved', and 'Declined' service requests.
- View options are 'List' and 'Card'
- Approval functionality of orders including one service
- Any other approval will be displayed only, with a direct link to the Self Service Portal
- Access to service-specific forms
- Currently supported languages (all other language settings will result in mixed output)
- English (US, UK)
This release does not support requests including multiple services, sets, bundles, or groups. The Service Catalog configuration for approval comments as well is not supported.
Approval-based forms (defined at the approval activity within the workflow) are not supported.
