EM Server
- Create a full backup of your EM database.
- Create a full image, or at least an image of the EM Server file system.
- Run Server Setup and follow the instructions.
The main setup launches a migration wizard that converts all objects in the database to the new version.
In the event of any errors, a new View Log button is displayed. Click this button to open a file containing detailed information in front of other windows. In the case of errors, this file must be saved and kept for analysis purposes.

Changes in Version 7.x
Release 7 is the latest version of Enterprise Manager. Below you can see the biggest and most important changes in this new version.
New Agent
The Enterprise Manager Agent has been completely redeveloped. The structure was rebuilt based on Windows 10 and the web-based Chrome interface. The communication was stabilized and adapted to the standard of today. Safety was very important here. The design has been adapted to Windows 10, so the agent feels like a Microsoft app.
Agent Auto Update
With version 7 a new feature has been integrated. From now on you have the possibility to automatically update the Enterprise Manager Agent via the Enterprise Manager console. More information on how to do this you can find here (de / en).
Do not Disturb Mode
With version 7 a new feature has been integrated. Every end user has the possibility to activate the "do not disturb" mode on his Enterprise Manager Agent. All activities are written in the agent log and can therefore be viewed by the administrator. More information on how to do this you can find here (de / en).
New Calendar Control
The calendar view in the new Enterprise Manager Agent has been completely redesigned. Great emphasis was placed on user-friendliness and optics. From now on it is possible to plan minutes of accurate installation.
